After completing his MSc degree on Gray Ratsnakes at Queen’s University, Matt has journeyed west to conduct PhD studies on the Western Rattlesnake. Working at our White Lake site, he is examining how the behavioural ecology of snakes predisposes individuals and species to road mortality. Matt also is maintaining our monitoring of roadkill rates and population trajectories at the site. Christine Bishop of Environment & Climate Change Canada and Adam Ford of UBC Okanagan are both involved in this project, and the South Okanagan Conservation Fund is lending critical support.
